Veritas Risk Group Limited (“Veritas,” “we,” “our,” or “us”) is committed to protecting the privacy, confidentiality, and security of personal information in accordance with Alberta’s Personal Information Protection Act (PIPA) and applicable laws. This Privacy Policy explains how personal information is collected, used, disclosed, and protected when individuals interact with our website or submit information in connection with our investigative, security, and risk-management services.

Personal Information:  Information about an identifiable individual, including contact details, identifying documents, employment or investigative information, online identifiers, or any other information collected for legitimate business or investigative purposes.

Communications: Any interaction with Veritas by email, phone, online forms, or written correspondence. Website: www.veritasriskgroup.ca  and any related pages where this policy is posted.

  • Complying with licensing, law enforcement, or regulatory requirements


All investigative information is handled with heightened confidentiality.


5. Security and Storage

We use industry-standard safeguards to protect personal information.

  •  Online forms and document uploads are processed through a secure third-party form provider using SSL/TLS encryption in transit and encryption at rest. 
  • Data may be stored on secure third-party servers.
  • Only authorized Veritas personnel have access to submitted information.
  • We maintain security controls consistent with industry best practices.


Cross-border storage: Third-party service providers may store information outside Canada, including the United States. Information stored in other jurisdictions may be subject to lawful access requests by foreign authorities.   By submitting information through our online forms, individuals consent to this cross-border processing. 



6. Data Retention

We retain personal information only as long as reasonably required:

  • Investigation files are generally retained for a minimum of two (2) years, or longer when required by law, licensing standards, insurance requirements, or legal necessity.
  • Website or form submissions not linked to an engagement may be deleted sooner.


Information is securely destroyed when no longer needed.


7. Sharing and Disclosure

We do not sell personal information.Information may be disclosed:

  • To service providers that support secure data hosting or IT operations

All services are delivered only after Veritas confirms written acceptance of the engagement.


6. Limitation of Liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law:

  • Veritas is not liable for direct, indirect, incidental, consequential, or special damages arising from use of the Website or reliance on its content.
  • We do not warrant the accuracy, completeness, availability, or uninterrupted operation of the Website.
  • Services provided by Veritas are governed exclusively by a written agreement with the client.


7. User Conduct

Users must not:
